The Dank, a.k.a., Dank Skank is one of the Twin Cities fastest rising
bands. Cranking out some of the rawest funk, fastest punk, and fattest
reggae around. Formed four years ago by bassist/ frontman Alex Cole Jr.
and drummer/ vocalist Adam Cole. Playing under the label, SoChro
Records, they quickly became a staple on the Twin Cities music scene,
kicking out the original genera splicing punk/funk. In 2002, they were
nominated for "Best Teen Band" by the Minnesota Music Academy. Today
they have assembled their strongest line up ever, recently adding "Kid
Dank" as the forth member. Look for the release of their debut album, "Surround Your Sound", available now.
Formed in July 2007. SeedLove is composed of Damon Bailey on vocals
and guitar, Richard Faught on bass guitar, Kian Byrne on drums.
Heavily influenced by eastern thought and collective consciousness
ideas, they decided to make a crusade of the band and use their music
to ignite the spiritual interdependence in the hearts of listeners.
SeedLove plays all over Kansas City and is currently expanding
throughout the midwest. SeedLove plays electric, empowering, soulful,
motivating and inspiring music interlaced in sweet "humm along" jazz
riffs and hot, humid roots rhythms. Ultimately SeedLove can best be
described as a microcosmic representation of the infinite love that
exists under everything. Heavily influenced by John Brown's Body,
Sierra Leone Refugee All Stars, Morgan Heritage, The Congos, The Blue
Riddim Band, and Lee Perry.
